You gotta get up and TRY, TRY, TRY…- @pink Lif You gotta get up and TRY, TRY, TRY…- @pink

Life can be really tough sometimes. There are so many pressures with work tasks, career advancement, finances 💰 , keeping up with school and camp activities, fostering or friendships and relationships, maintaining good physical and #emotionalhealth.
Sometimes we don’t get it right the first couple of times we try to succeed… but we all have to keep trying and moving forward.

Many of my patients have #chronic #physical #disabilities and want to give up because of the #pain and #fatigue.
I understand..
Our joints, muscles, tendons get stiff and weak when they are not being utilized. I just encourage them to try and take a few steps a day or do some #stretching or #meditating 🧘‍♀️ to get into a better head space. Who knows? Over time things might get better.
This applies to everything in life.
Just keep trying. You’ll get there!
Hugs,

I have limited my running in the last several week I have limited my running in the last several weeks due to an #anklesprain I suffered playing #tennis 🎾 I felt my ankle roll while hitting the ball.I suffered a medium to severe #sprain.

#Anklesprains are very common and occur when the ligaments/tendons are injured and can tear. There can be a tiny tear present or a complete tear can occur.

Severity of sprain can depend on the amount of ligaments are affected and injured and the specific type of ligament that is torn.

The ligaments involved in ankle sprain can involve:

1) Deltoid #ligament
2) Posterior talofibular ligament (ATL)
3) Anterior #talofibular ligament (ATFL)

Most ankle sprains occur when the ligaments turn inward.
Recovery time depends on the degree of the sprain. Healing may take 2 weeks (minor sprain) up to 12 weeks!

Symptoms:
1) Pain at rest and with weight bearing activity
2) #Swelling
3) #Bruising
4)#Tenderness to touch of area
Instability of the ankle can occur as well as #arthritis with repetitive sprains.

Consult with your #doctor if pain is severe or if you can't bear weight. Additional tests like #Xrays or other imaging may be needed.
